Bringing Accountability to Government

Bill Posey for Congress

Bill PoseyRepublican State Senator Bill Posey is a candidate for Congress in Florida’s 15th District. The district includes parts of Brevard, Osceola and Polk counties and all of Indian River County.

Known nationwide for his innovation in bringing greater accountability to government, Bill authored the book Activity Based Total Accountability (ABTA), which has become the guideline for bringing greater accountability to government nationwide.

After Florida Governor Jeb Bush signed legislation implementing provisions of ABTA, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the nation’s oldest and largest, nonprofit and bipartisan association of state lawmakers, named Bill a “National Legislator of the Year” because of his work. ALEC described Bill’s strategic plan as:

“The best legislation to come out of any state capital in over a decade.”

“It is the reason I am running for Congress,” Posey has said, referring to his successes in cutting waste and making government more accountable at both the state and local level. “I have the record and experience of getting things done, and this is a fight worth fighting. We’re going to Washington and we are going to make a difference.”
