Blythe turns to negative attacks against opponent
Just like in the primary, Democrat Stephen Blythe has decided the only chance he has to win the U.S. House District 15 race is by turning to negative attacks against his opponent.
During the last weeks of the primary, Blythe insulted his opponent Paul Rancatore’s service to our nation. Rather than focus on his own platform, he questioned Rancatore’s Air Force Reserve service, his qualifications and job experience.
Now he is turning his sights on Republican State Sen. Bill Posey, who has served this district well and honorably. Posey has always run clean campaigns and his opponents should be expected to do the same.
Blythe’s recent guest column in FLORIDA TODAY is full of misinformation. I hope all voters do their own research on the candidates like I do so they can spot these intentionally misleading statements.
Dr. Blythe — and all candidates — should run on their own merits. Voters want to hear why they should vote for a candidate, not why they shouldn’t vote for the opposition.
