Florida Consumer Action Network Endorses Posey in Congressional Primary

Melbourne, FL - The Florida Consumer Action Network today officially endorsed Senator Bill Posey in the Congressional primary.  Senator Posey is running to fill Florida’s 15th Congressional District which is being left open by the retiring Dave Weldon.

The Florida Consumer Action Network (FCAN) is endorsing Senator Posey in the primary because of his “outstanding work on behalf of consumers as Chair of the Senate Insurance Committee”.  FCAN is Florida’s largest independent consumer and environmental advocacy organization with more than 30,000 grassroots members reaching from Key West to Tallahassee.

FCAN endorses exceptional candidates, such as Senator Posey, as one method of advancing their priority issues.  Their endorsements are made by consensus of their Statewide Board of Directors following regional meetings throughout the state.  They do NOT endorse in every race, rather they look for candidates who have supported the same issues that they advocate.
