BIPAC Endorses Posey for Congress
Jun 12, 2008
Melbourne – BIPAC, the Business Industry Political Action Committee, announced they are endorsing Bill Posey for Congress. Posey, a Republican, is running to fill the open-seat in Florida’s 15th Congressional District created by the retiring Dave Weldon.
“Bill Posey brings an impeccable record to the table,” said Gregory S. Casey, President and CEO of BIPAC. “Having served in both the Florida House of Representatives and Florida State Senate, he understands the importance of pro-prosperity issues and has worked hard to ensure business voices in Florida are heard.”
Bill Posey has spent the last 8 years in the Florida Senate serving the 24th District, which includes large portions of Brevard, Orange, and Seminole Counties. From 1992 to 2000, Posey served in the Florida House of Representatives.
“Bill has been a leader in the effort to reform Florida’s tort system, an on-going issue in their legislature,” Casey added. “We know he will continue to work hard addressing business concerns and will be a strong advocate for the citizens of Florida. We strongly endorse his candidacy.”
The nation’s premier source of business political strategy since 1963, BIPAC provides the political strategy and tools to help their members reach their election and public policy goals. An independent, bipartisan organization, BIPAC is supported by several hundred of the nation’s leading businesses and trade associations. BIPAC does not lobby, but assists businesses and their organizations to find and elect pro-prosperity candidates at the state and federal level.
